We closed this CALL credit spread and bought it back for $0.05. Overall, it was a small profit to be redeployed for the next trade.

We sold a monthly CALL credit spread at 2135/2145 for $1.10. The total Return-on-Risk for this new trade is 1.10/8.90 = 12.36 % excluding transaction cost. The PUT credit spread was closed for $1.75.

31 July 2017 – All-Time high in Dow Industrial, a reversal?

Market Internals
Vix closed at 10.26. Vix futures is at 11.32. Skew is at 139.82. Market sentiment is bullish. Market breadth has flattened. Volumetric accumulation/distribution is sloping upward.

The Week Ahead
The Dow Industrial touched new all-time high but the Dow Transportation continues its downward move. The divergence is glaring. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 remain near their all-time high. Russell 2000 is starting has neutral momentum and between the Russell 2000 and Dow Transportation, we might be seeing both these indices leading the market down.

Vix remains low and market internals remain strong. The prognosis is to trade with caution as the market could be taking a breather.
