For the 2023 New Year Resolution, we will be pivoting to the Malaysian market in particular and the Asia-Pacific market in general. We will be using more fundamental measurements such as PE, PEG, P/S to measure a company performance (valuation).
Other important factors such as the financial health (cash flow, liquidity), Dividend and the management of the company. These are the most important factors that a company must have in order for us to invest in the company. We will look at companies as businesses ie. what businesses they are in, the long term prospects for the sector of the businesses they are in and the quality of the management itself.
The fundamental of all businesses is that they must have sufficient cash flow for at least a year or two. They have to be in a business that is generating revenue and have revenue and earnings growth. Under a competent management, those are the most basic criteria for businesses that we look to invest in.
